Eclipse build problem

Hi i have created a struts 2 application in eclipse but when i am deploying the struts application it is giving 404 error,is it compulsory to use build.xml or pom.xml for building the project
i am using struts 2.3.4.1 ,java 6 and eclipse juno 4.2
can anyone help i am stuck

No, you do not have to use Ant or Maven to build a webapp, although Eclipse isn't going to do a very good job without some sort of additional build tool, since Eclipse has fairly simple build rules coded into it and WARs are more complex.


Customer surveys are for companies who didn't pay proper attention to begin with.
