I have cleared OCPJP6 exam yesterday. what should i do next? I wanna go for OCPJWeb Componenet Developer and OCPJ Business Component Developer exam.

Which one should i go first?

I have Head First Servlets & JSP as well as Head First EJB. I have 1st editions of both the books but the 2nd edition is available in the market. Should i buy the new ones or it will do?
Dont post links of Hall of Fame n all. Just answer the questions please.

Congrats on your OCPJP6.

As for your questions, the Head First Servlets & JSP 2nd edition covers Java EE5 and most people here use it as a study guide for WCD5. Head First EJB covers EJB2.x so I don't recommend you using it as study guide for BCD5. However, I heard from some people that the Manning EJB3 in Action book is good for BCD5.

Which one to do first is really up to you. Yet the fundamentals of Java EE lies in Servlets/JSP so WCD seems to be the former and BCD the latter.

Hope this helps.

to put both the books are outdated. even the 2nd edition of head first servlet and jsp is outdated as it focus on scwcd 5 and not on 6. there is no edition of head first servlet and jsp that focus on version 6 exam. right now there is only one book ocewcd 6 companion by charles lyons and iam afraid if it is available in india. you may need to import it. most people who have cleared the exam have read head first servlet and jsp 2nd edition and done rest of the extra things from here and there and by reading servlet 3.0 specification. the exam is based on servlet 3.0 specifications. also most of the people have highlty recommended enthuware kit for wcd 6. so i recommend head first servlet and jsp 2nd edition + servlet 3.0 + enthuware will be sufficient.

tsang is right. servlet/jsp are the base for higher framework which we know like EJB, spring , struts. it would be good if you go with wcd 6 and then bcd 6. also the bcd 6 exams covers ejb 3.1 specifications. for that ejb 3 in action is great book though it targets 3.0. there is also oreily enterprise java beans 3.1 which you can use. but first of all go for wcd 6. thereafter you can go for business component developer exam

and you said do not give hall of fame links, but buddy you will find wealth of information there. i do recommned you to visit those links.
