Hi Anayonkar,

Thanks for your input; actually I do have a syllabus copy with me, my question is, I am in beginner level and some of the topics like Collections, Threads & Inner Classes in Java, I feel bit more difficult and I'm not sure do we get lot of tricky question on these topics ?.
If you have any links or sites, where I can find lot question on these topics, you can share with me, Thanks for your support.

Hi,

Firstly, refer those topics from an OCPJP book (e.g. book by Sierra-Bates). Also, try to solve questions from that book itself.

Once you are comfortable with actual topics, you can go for one/more mock exams for practice. Fore more info about it, you can refer SCJP-FAQ.

Hi,

Is it enough, if I refer only Sirra-Bates book or do I need to refer any other author also, to take mock exams.

Hi Ravikiran,

From syllabus perspective, I think that book is enough. However, once you start reading it, you yourself will know whether you need any extra material.

For mock exams, you can refer to hall of fame or certification results - basically experiences of people who passed this exam - and which book/mock exams they referred.

I hope this helps.

KB covers everything you need to pass the exam, but it's always good to look at other material.

My preparation for the exam have included writing a website, so I really nailed down tricky areas like OO Concepts

The website is a work in progress, but you may get some more insight from looking at it

Hi,

Thanks for the updates, I have started referring KB book now and like you said, once I get into a deep look, then only I can understand

Congrats Ravikiran. I am preparing for OCP JP 7. Did you take the OCP 7 or 6?
