JTextPane retrieve changed data from HTMLDocument

Hi all,

this is my first question here so I hope it is in the right forum, if not I appologize.
What I try to do is display an HTML document that contains checkboxes in a JTextPane.
So far no problem, but I want to be able to select or deselect the checkboxes and after a submitbutton (Normal Swing.JButton, no html element) I want to read the html again and retrieve the states of the checkboxes, and here is where I can't get the stuff sorted out.
The code I have is below here, can anyone please tell me what I do wrong?

Thanks.
