<action> in struts.xml

Hi ,

I seem to be having the trouble of understanding the concept of these two tags

<package name="" namespace="" extends=""></package>
<action name="" class=""></action>

what want to know is what their work is . And I also want to know the importance of each of the properties of the tag . It would be help me big time .

Sorry to have caused confusion .

See the documentation gives an example of how the <action> is used. Not much is said about its attributes and how their values differ . Because I took the easy way and ran into some trouble with Struts 2 , I want to get my basis right . And the detailed explanation.
