using the C, C++, VB and Java.

But when go to web based application coding using PHP and Java EE i lose my interest..
and its hard to find the passion again..

I've choose Java as my language and i want to get back the passionate.

I want to become more knowledgeable and self-sufficient. Can anybody give me advice?

Thank You!!

Is there any particular reason you want to become good at something you don't enjoy? The advice one might offer would differ if it's a) for a paid job, b) for fun, c) to learn new stuff for professional growth, d) something else.

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
