A man is wearing black. Black shoes, socks, trousers, jumper, gloves and balaclava. He is walking down a black street with all the street lamps off. A black car is coming towards him with its light off too but somehow manages to stop in time. How did the driver see the man?

If it was so dark, how do you know about the man and the car in the first place?

The man was smiling so the driver saw his white teeth.

Moonlight, building lights, night vision goggles, built in infrared detection (if you're an elf), psychic powers, vehicle auto-detection of objects, etc.

"Balaclava" is the location of one of the most notorious screw-ups the British Army ever made. It was so bad that the English poet Tennyson wrote a poem celebrating it.

"Baklava" is a Greek pastry made by taking a Stephen King paperback, soaking it in honey, and baking it until the cover is crisp.

Oh, and by the way the driver didn't see the black-clad man, but he did see the traffic light commanding him to stop.

Um, yeah... the driver might have seen a Russian folk instrument which caused him to stop, too.

Nah, I meant the other thread of the conversation. The one where you missed "bat'leth" as well.

I skipped over that because I always confuse batleths with baidarkas.

I think bat'leth is a bad name for a badass weapon. It sounds like it should be a small bath.
