Hi,

Is this your script?

I saw a similar one on search engine Mamma.com too...

And I am using NoScript add-on in firefox. And I am getting this google-analytics.com on every page I visit.

Are you folks also seeing this piece of script? Just find in page source for it.

If so, looks like our privacy is at stake, inspite of will of the people against such an act.

Do you really not know about what Google Analytics is? http://www.google.com/analytics/

Most of the web uses it to know how users are using their sites. If you are worried about being tracked, you might as well not use the web.

I think you have confused user tracking with site tracking.

Google Analytics is all about tracking what is happening on the site. How many people clicked a particular page. How many people come from a particular region. What are people looking at. What are people looking for. This all helps us make the site better.

Your privacy is not at issue here. We are not tracking you. NoScript does not really help you here as it is set up to protect you from sites/scripts that are tracking you.

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
