Hi,
i have a basic knowledge of java and some other oo languages plus html and css, how would i go about making some money off of this, it seems that no matter how much i learn, whenever i look for some small work on sites like odesk, i never seem to fulfil theknowledge requirements, all help is apreceated.

Have you built a website? It doesn't need to be for pay. But actually building something will give you more experience. And design practice.

As far as skills, I can't imagine a website that doesn't involve a database. So good to learn JDBC next.
