When to schedule OCJP exam

I'm preparing for OCJP 1.6 and currently, i'm referring K&B (revising 2 times) and JavaChamp . Also, i made few projects during my academics in Core Java and Advance Java.

But, I'm confuse

for scheduling the real exam. Because, i'm unable to score consistent 60+% overall

. Although, i'm able to solve chapter-wise question of K&B, but i'm getting 30-50% score in its Master exam

.

On the other hand, when i start solving Javachamp questions, there i'm able to get 70-90% score

. And, i notice that, i'm little weak in Collection, Generic and Thread section

.

So, i'm improving these section, meanwhile if anyone suggest me any good material to understand and improve these topics, i'll appreciate

.

Also, please suggest any reliable source/mock test, which i can take it as final mock test (i mean, i can decide for taking real OCJP exam).

After brushing up on those sections, consider buying Kathy and Bert's "OCP Java SE 6 Programmer Practice Exams" It's about $35 and 400 pages of mock questions and answers.

Yes i do have OCP Java SE 6 Programmer Practice Exams book, which you have mentioned in your reply.

Can you suggest me any good resource for brushing up these topics ?? Apart from K&B book.

First identify why you are getting the questions wrong. Is it lack of remembering something, not having something memorized, missing details on the question or not understanding a concept? For the first two, you need to practice coding more. For the third, try to identify trends so you have a process for looking at questions. Only for the last do you need to read something else.

Yes. The exams are thorough and increase in difficultly. Each one shows what score you'd need on t he mock to be passing the real exam.
