Hi,
I'm trying to make a simple app, so I can learn scripting better. I co-own and operate a minecraft server, so I thought I would base it on that. To save time, Ill just say that I'm trying to make a button, when pressed, drops down to show information, so a simple dropdown menu. I'm using eclipse to code. So far all I have is

and from there I have no clue what to do. Can someone help?

The first thing to do is make yourself aware of the Views which are already available to you, and use them instead of trying to make your own. For example, it looks to me like you really want a Spinner control.

But if as far as you got is the XML, then I think you are in need of a good learning resource. I used Android in Action (Amazon) which I though worked well for me. There are also tutorials and training material on the Android developer's site.
