In MVC perspective, Spring serves at the View and Controller layer meanwhile Hibernate serves at the Model layer. Am I correct?

No. Spring MVC is MVC  The controller gets the model and passes it to the view. There are many ways to populate the model, one of those being the ORM framework Hibernate.
