I have been reading k&B book java 6 for ocajp prep,and I want to know whether Bitwise operators are part of the exam or not ?

They were removed from SCJP 5. (I think they were in version 6 of the book in case the exam changed it's mind.) They definitely aren't on the OCAJP 7 exam.
