As always, you need to be more specific. Are you talking in the U.S.? India? Australia?

And within a given country, things can vary dramatically from city to city.

There are only two hard things in computer science: cache invalidation, naming things, and off-by-one errors

Hi Aravind

Having a certification does not guarantee you a job but its an advantage definitely.
Also, having a certification raises the expectation level of the interviewer and hence the difficulty level of the questions asked also increases a bit.

But, on the brighter side, if you have the knowledge then definitely it will help and besides, it also boosts up your confidence.

Cheers!!!
