Hi, im lookin to create a User Interface for an active directory using JSP.
As im a starter, i dont have much idea abt it .
please help me out with this.

Look at the javax.naming.* and javax.security.* packages for authenticating against Active Directory.

At least, that's the way we do it here. There may be other options that I'm not aware of.

The API you use to access Active Directory as well as the other, more complete LDAP servers is the Java Naming and Directory Interface (JNDI). You can find tutorials on it at places like the Oracle (formerly Sun Java) website.

It's preferable to put the JNDI code in a JavaBean and have your JSPs reference the bean over coding JNDI scriptlets. But then that's true for scriptlets in general.

Customer surveys are for companies who didn't pay proper attention to begin with.
