Hey there,

I am interesting in exploring the Software Architecture field and I am looking for a course or certificate that might help me accomplish that.

Do you know of any certificate that I can take online?

Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Kind regards,

I agree that UML as software patterns are part of the required skills/tools for a software architect but I expect recommendations of courses or certificates.

All the software engineering courses are included with UML and OOP. If you want to do a professional course i suggest ACS or BSC

Thanks Evan,

I have run the ladder up to university master degree long ago and have several years of working experience as technical manager and midrange architect.
OOP, UML and software patterns already are in my toolset.

I'm just curious about what software architect certifications or courses are highly regarded by the ranch users.

You can look at TOGAF which is a platform independent architecture methodology. It covers a lot of things. It comes out of US department of defense and is really created with massive organizations in mind, although it can be pared down to fit almost any organization.

I'm going to go through it myself soon, and there are couple of members on this board who have gone through it. We even have a forum dedicated to it
