In the next few weeks, I need to design the J2EE architecture for my new project. I'm planning to use Spring and Hibernate as for the business tier. But, I still dont know which web framework I want to use later. I'm planning to use either Struts or JSF as for the web tier. Basically, I have been using Struts for more than 2 years and I want to try something different, i.e: JSF. But I also know that JSF is very tools-dependant, and my company doesnt want to buy licence for commercial IDE such as Websphere Studio, JDeveloper, or Weblogic Workshop. So, I want to ask opinion from all of you. Is it possible to develop a JSF-Spring-based web application with IDE such as Eclipse? If so, can we optimize the development process itself? Thanks in advance.
