These days, I am going through a dilemma. I am really confused about my career. I am having 5.3 years of expreience. And Java is my passion. I started my career with Java development. After working on various framework of Java, I got a job in one big company which gradually moved me to Application Support. Initially, I denied to take that role but over the period, I accepted with the hope that I will get some good work of Application Development. Now, it has been around 3 years, when I am working on that Project but not enjoying it at all. Since it is support project, hence it is not allowing me ample time to study through.
I am still looking forward to get into Java Development but because not writing a Java Class in past 18 months. It is difficult to show someone ( Interviewer) that I am a Java Programmer.
I am not really not able to think what should I do in this case...
i) Java Development - Which is my Passion and feels comfortable to work on it
ii) Application Support - Don't like but ..since working past 3 years .. It is created a Comfort Zone for me...
I am just finding ways to break this shackle and really want to go to Java Development. But how....if I don't have enough experience in last 3 years.
Any suggestions ...!
