free watermark frameworks.

Hi all,
We are developing an application using java,springs and hibernate , we want add an watermark to word,excel and pdf documents before the document being downloaded. please let me know is their any free framework available to do this.

Just about any PDF library (like iText and PDFBox) can do this for PDFs. For Word and Excel it doesn't really make sense, since anyone could open the document and remove it. It would make sense for printing such a document, though.

in word and excel files also water mark shouldn't be able to delete this is what our client requirement , water mark will be the ip address of the machine where the file is being downloaded.

I think it will be very hard to enforce that requirement. You may have to talk your client out of it, and into some other security measure.

no, their is a frame work called saaspose by using this frame work we can add a water mark to ms word and excel files which cannot be deleted. Since this is a paid one we are not going for it.
