you get the point
Manning is running a special promotion this week called "Week of Scala" where various books related to Scala will be up for grabs and their authors will be stopping by the forums to answer your queries.
Do stop by in this forum to ask the authors questions from different Scala Books.
The promotion starts Monday, February 4th 2013 and will end sometime the week of February 11th.
We'll be selecting four random posters in this forum to win a free copy of their choice from among the following books provided by the publisher, Manning:
Posts in this welcome thread are not eligible for the drawing, and should be reserved for welcoming the author. Questions posted in this topic are subject to removal.
(Is it all the books all week, or are they on specific days?)
Updated the above announcement to add the days. But for the Javaranch Book promo the winners will get to choose any one book from the listed books. So lots of choice!

Specific books on specific days. You can see the list of which books on which days here: Typesafe Blog: Week of Scala
Just to clarify, are you referring to the book discount on Mannings or the forum questions?
I mean, can I ask today a question for a book that is scheduled for promotion tomorrow the next?
Will the question in case be answered? Will it be eligible for the the prizes?
Thanks
Ivano

Hi,
I'll be around for questions today on the forum, I'm one of the authors of Akka in Action. Let me know if you have any questions.
There is an excerpt on fault tolerance available at http://files.osmek.com/show/12289.pdf

Hi everyone, I'm one of the authors of HTML5 in Action. I know very little about Scala or Java as server side languages, but HTML5 in Action will appeal to anyone wishing to provide a rich application experience in the web browser. As a quick taster of the sort of opportunities modern client-side web development affords developers, check out Hello Chrome, it’s Firefox calling! which discusses the experimental support for WebRTC in the latest beta versions of Firefox and Chrome and demos a peer to peer video chat application (this stuff is coming out a little too late to make the book, but we do cover some related things).
If you have any questions about HTML5, JavaScript or CSS3 you can usually find me in the HTML, CSS and JavaScript forum.
Since this is the WEEK of Scala, we are continuing the promos. We will be drawing winners sometime next week so keep on posting. We'll also be posting a coupon code good for 50% off on any of the week of scala books.
