Deploy jsp / servlet on the web

Hello guys,

Can you give me a detailed instructions on how to deploy a jsp / servlet on the web? I already know how to deploy using Tomcat, I can't just
figure out how to deploy it on WWW. sorry for my bad english..

Ah deploying web apps on the web is simply using the app server's admin console and deploy the war file. Are you deploying the app using your IDE or through admin console? If admin console, every app server (Tomcat, JBoss, Glassfish etc) has one. If through IDE, you know try using the admin console too.

I think the OP is asking about buying a domain name and hosting. Correct?

First, you need to find someplace to host your site. There are a number of hosting companies listed in the ServletsFaq. Make sure that they support JEE sites.

Then you need to buy a domain name from a registrar.

Once the domain name is bought, the registrar will let you set up DNS entires to the hosting service.

As this topic has very little to do with JSP, it's been moved to a more appropriate location.
