Packages and Classpaths

Hi,

I am really confused with the concept of classpaths and packages. I am almost getting every question wrong or taking long time to solve.
Can anyone explain me the fundamental concepts of Classpaths/packages/Jar files.
And Is there any concept specific to Packages when dealing with a classpath where you need to mention the location of the parent folder of the package?

Any help is much appreciated.

Thank you!

Anand, Classpath (Java) is nicely written.

Thanks Dan!, I am slowly getting close to it.

I found some set of rules in Forum for method overloading. Is there any similar rules for classpath search?

Anand,

When it comes to the classpath, one and only one class should be defined unlike the method overloading paradigm.

Dan
