Can anyone explain what a WSDL proxy is? Every post on the Internet seems to assume that it's obvious so nobody bothers to explain it. Being something of a novice to this whole WSDL and SOAP thing I am left somewhat confused.

I agree. Here's the link: http://ej-technologies/jprofiler - if it wasn't for jprofiler, we would need to run our stuff on 16 servers instead of 3.
