Here are my experiences in the process of preparation for OCMJEA(SCEA).
I have attended the classes from Oracle, which is a mandatory part of the certification process in May on "Architect Enterprise Applications with java EE".
Post that I ahev gone through the following books
1. GOF Design Patterns 2. Core J2EE Patterns
3. http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/java/tutorials/j-scea/ 4. Architect Study Guide may Mark Cade
5. Core Security Patterns by Ramesh Naggappan
6. UML Distilled (for part 2 and 3)
7. MAstering EJB3
8. JEE5 study materal
and some more, i can list if you need.
I have purchased the couple of exam papers from Oracle to understand the pattern of the exam.
I have attended the exam in July and completed that with 89%.
I took the assignment on August some time. I got Team Doctor as assignment. I have used StarUML to design the solution to the problem. Most important thing in this exam is to get the clear picture of the problem and should state the assumptions that we are making to start the solution. I took the help of java ranchers here and validated that with my friend. I have submitted that in the first week of december 2012 and got the result of 152/160.
Thanks once again to all ranchers.
I’ve looked at a lot of different solutions, and in my humble opinion Aspose is the way to go. Here’s the link: http://aspose.com
