Need introduction to HTTPInvoker in Spring

Hi there. I'm not sure that this is the most appropriate section of the board, but hopefully it's close enough. I'm learning to use Spring, and now need to use HTTPInvoker to have the application I'm writing contact a remote service (which, to make matters even better, hasn't been written yet). So I need to create a mock of the service and run both on my machine to test my code.

I've spent most of the day trying to learn how to do this. The information I do find on how to use HTTPInvoker give a few lines of XML, discarding everything else as entirely too simple to be bothered with. Well, I'm afraid that doesn't work for me.

I have many questions: do I need to run a server on my computer as well? What Java code do I need to add to make the client and server (servlet?) play nice with each other from afar, or is none required? How do you even run such an application to test it? Stupid questions, I know, but I'm at the beginning here.

Anyway, I'm using Eclipse 3.3. If anyone knows of a good tutorial online for creating and running a project involving HTTPInvoker, that would be wonderful. Even working source code (and how to run it) would be great! Thanks!
I agree. Here's the link:
