Hello friends...

I need some advise on certification.

I have completed SCJP 1.5 and OCPJWCD 5 certifications. Now I want to go for another certification to keep myself updated.
My over all experience is in core java, jsp, servlet, struts, ajax, jquery.

Can anybody let me know whether I should go for EJB certification or I can go for any other certification?

Thanks in advance for any assistance you can provide.

Hi Joe,

Any EE6 certification is ok. You can even start from the new Servlet 3.0 specs and see what the differences are with the version you did (Servlet 2.4). If you are comfortable with that you can go for the EJB EE6, JPA EE6 and Webservices EE6 certifications. That is the most common path to follow but you can of course decide otherwise as there are no required certifications needed (apart from SCJP or OCPJP)

Thanks Frits for your inputs.

I think I will go for EE6 EJB (1Z0-895) certification.
I have a O'Reillys Enterprise JavaBeans 3.0, 5th Edition book. Can I use this book? Or have to refer EJB 3.1 books mentioned in SCBCD Links

Hi Joe,

That book is fine for a starter but not meant for passing the exam, just read my story.
