Google Nexus S - WiFi connect issue

Android version 2.3.4

My phone can not connect to my office WiFi. My laptop can connect after disabling the DHCP and manually specifying the IP address, Subnet mask and other properties. Here are the details from my laptop.

My phone can not connect either with DHCP enabled so I tried with static IP address (there is no IP confict) and same values for other parameters. but I see messages like Obtaining IP address and Disconnecting. I feel that it has something to do with class difference between IP address(Class A) and default gateway(Class C). But then it works on my laptop why not on phone.

I have checked my phones WiFi, it works well at my home where I have Class C network.

I can not update OS because Samsung never released any update for this phone.

Also, I appreciate if somebody can link this thread to Android forum too.
