Hi,

I am facing an imminent interview for a role as java developer.

If they ask me something like "which animal would you like be?"

I have thought about be a dolphin , smart, good team player also he is good working with autonomy(travels alone), good communicator and friendly

Do you think that a good question?

Thanks

There can not be a common answer. You would know, what animal you would like to be, no?

It's that bad nowadays? Do they seriously ask this question?

No. It is a horrible question to ask.

IMO, like many other "throw-away" open-ended questions, it can be a waste of time. However, if the candidate is ready for it, it can be a spring board to a prepared answer that highlights the skills and qualities that the candidate wants to display. It may be a silly question, but there is nothing wrong with having an answer for it.

I think the question is very useful. It tells me that I don't want to work there early on.
