I am new to web services. I want to develop a standalone application and inside of that application I want to run a small server and deploy some web services. I tried with some hessian base web services using Jetty and eclipse, its working properly but now I want to implement it as SOAP based web service. Is it possible with jetty? Actually I don't know how to do it or possibility of it so I tried with google then I found some articles but they didn't work for me . If any of you have a proper example please share it. Please help me.

Thank you.

I think most servlet container like Jetty and Tomcat are emebddable, and thus capable or hosting web apps and web services in a standalone app. Searching for "embedding Jetty" or some such phrase should find information onm how that works.
It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
