I hope you cannot get banned from this forum for elementry questions but I am at one of my many impasses.
I have a (child)div container on my main page set to float left and 99% width(of the parent page).
Whithin this container I have a div container float left with a width of 170px and a second div container float left with a width of 85%.
This all looks good when screen is at max but when I start to size the screen down the div container set at 85% will move from the right side of the screen to under the div container set to 170px.
I realize what is happening is the % div container is set to 85% of the child container.
Is there some solution for this? How can I make the 85% div container use only the portion of the child container that the 170px width div container is not using?
Marshal, how long will I be locked up fer?

It'd likely be best to try and explain what you are trying to achieve rather than how you are doing it. All these floats may not be necessary. But it's hard to tell.
