Returning a JDOM Document in JAX-WS Issue

I'm trying to return a simple JDOM document from a JAX-WS Web Service, but I only get the root element, not the entire tree.

The same code in a standalone Java application works fine.

I've rebuilt the WSDL many times in the client and tried to return the root Element and the "document" as return types, but neither works.


It seems that the "Document" object created in the client code from the WSDL from the server web service doesn't have the right JDOM type entities.

The server method is defined like this:


Here's the generated (from WSDL) Document class in the client. No concept of child nodes shown:
