Unable to fetch session attribute value in ApplicationObject for Visibility Rule.

Hi,

I have 3 portal pages with different JSF portlets on them. I am trying to hide 2 of them and show it only when the first portlet's form is submitted. I am using Visibility Rule to do it and have created an Application Object for the same. To achieve this, I am trying to set a value in session in my PageCodeBase extension (child, 1st portlet) class and trying to fetch it in the ApplicationObject that I have created for the visibility rule. This is how I am setting it in session:


and this is how I am trying to fetch it in my TestApplicationObject:

The printed value when the ApplicationObject is executed by the rules is always null.

Please advice.
