Dear All,

I am planning to sit for OCEJPA Certification by mid of may. I don't hold a extensive experience of pure development under Hibernate
or JPA. I have browsed this forum and that is what the general idea i am gathering. I am listing down these few points so that people can
help me guide better.

  • Reading Mastering Pro JPA2 twice atleast
  • A must read JPA Specification
  • Enthuware exam simulator

  • This is the basic list provided by all the people participating here. I do hear the exam is sloppy and covers some aspects of EJB. How far is it true?
Additionally, how much is sufficient to prepare for this certification? Please share your thoughts.

On top of it all, do a simple project using one of the JPA providers around. Hibernate being the best. EclipseLink has few pending issues but good as well.

Get your hands dirty before you go to the exam. Read and code.

    Dear Bobby,
Thanks a ton for your guidance. I am planning to do the project, small scale shopping card application and apply whatever i learn, i am going to apply in it.
I am going to use Hibernate as a persistence provider and will keep looping here my questions. How much time is needed for the preparation?
