Paul,
Welcome to CodeRanch! I've moved your post to our OCMJEA forum.

We have a good list of books and mock exams posted. I used Cade/Sheil and was satisfied. Also see my signature for my experiences on the exam. It includes what I thought of each study resource i used.

Thanks Jeanne ! Wondering how different OCMJEA 6 is from OCMJEA / SCEA 5 and if there are any specific resources to prepare for OCMJEA 6. Is Cade/Sheil relevant for OCMJEA 6 ?

Thanks !

Apart from the material used for the preparation of OCMJEA 5. I am going through Adam Bien's "Real World Java EE design patterns, Rethinking best practices". This book is really good for experienced professionals. I missed reading this book while doing OCMJEA 5. In fact I could get pdf of latest version of this book.

I got an email from epractize labs folks about OCMJEA 6 Training Lab BETA release. Here is the link.

Can anybody know when are they going to release full version?

Is Cade/Sheil book relevant for OCMJEA 6?

I'm in doubt to take the OCMJEA 5 or 6, because the last one has little material to study.

I agree Cade/Sheil is a good book. It's targeting version 5 of the exam. This means you are going to find the version 5 exam easier to prepare for. There is overlap for version 6 of the exam, but you'll need to add topics on your own.

I wrote the exam (OCMJEA 6 production) but didnt manage to pass(70% only) ... The simulator from ePractize labs is a good one ... I got so many questions from this for the exam... The key is to practicing on a lot of questions as the exam gives a lot of scenario based questions ... There are a couple of them online but most of them answer the questions wrongly .... I cudnt find any more genuine ones ... Still on the search ...

Am planning to take a retry this month end ...

If anyone gets any good questions , i would be grateful if you would share it

Best Regards
Elizaba
