I could use javascript and Dojo to do some DOM manipulation and animation etc. But I find it's hard to develop a complete application. Does the lesson cover the architecture of a web application and the best practices with JQuery?

To be or not to be. It's a question.

Hi Wang,

This series takes an exploratory look at most of the functions contained in the jQuery library and how to use them. It does not cover application development, theory, or common design patterns. This series is geared more towards developers who are not sure what jQuery brings to the table or what it is capable of.

While this is not jQuery related and may not even be what you are looking for, if you are looking at building some end-to-end web applications, you may want give meteor.js, angular.js, or ember.js a shot.
