I got this code from net and new to webservice
my questions are:

1)what is the use of lookup?
2)"WebServiceLookup lookup = (WebServiceLookup)Context.getInstance(Context.WEBSERVICE_LOOKUP);" here why casting is necessary
3)Can we cannot directly connect to webservice?

4)" StockQuoteServiceProxy quoteService = (StockQuoteServiceProxy)lookup.lookup(
"http://localhost:6060/StockQuoteService/",StockQuoteServiceProxy.class );" Meaning of this code

Appreciate simple answers that will give me entry point.
