aspect configuration in spring...

Hello,

I have methodA(param1) & methodA(param1, param2) (overloading) in a service.

I want to configure aspects for methodA(param1)...i did that.... but the way proxy works.. an aspect is getting kicked in for both methods...
currently I am handling this issue in applied advice class by comparing number of arguments..

is there any option to configure an aspect based on method and its parameter count/type ??

Note : I am using spring-framework-2.0.3 version.

Did you use the "(..)" pattern for the pointcut ? You can use "(*)" instead to specify that the method should have only one parameter of any type.

Yes.. I was using(..) pattern ,solution sugessted by you is working fine...
