This week's book giveaway is in the Mac OS forum. We're giving away four copies of a choice of "Take Control of Upgrading to Yosemite" or "Take Control of Automating Your Mac" and have Joe Kissell on-line! See this thread for details.
Took it last Saturday, about two months after the VMWare training. As noted in another post, no REST questions,
which was good because the concept hasn't really clicked with me yet.
The training itself was a positive experience. I was with 2 other students in the San Francisco ExitCertified office
with 5-6 east coast students teleconferencing in. The instructor Joel really loaded us down with
extra material on the class USB archive, it seemed there was a download of every pertinent Spring website and post
ever published. I still haven't got through it all. Plus he had extra docs that expanded or corrected things in the slides.
The VMWare slides were nice and clear and fit well with Spring in Action v3. Some may criticize the
mandatory training and pricing, but they definitely went the extra distance.
The one downer was having no luck getting practice questions. The BlackBelt stuff disappeared (did they get in trouble?)
and the Skill Guru order page kept giving me error messages about my email. Oh well, saved a few bucks.
Previous certs were Java Programmer, MySQL Developer (part 1 only, don't ask) and Santa Clara Adult Education Software Test Now studying for Hadoop Developer, with Java Window Components next on deck.
