If you're a Miyazaki fan (Studio Ghibli), this will likely make you smile.

Finally! I knew there needed to be at least one other Miyazaki fan in this crowd!

After the likes of Spirited Away and Princess Mononoke, how can one not be a fan?

The thing I like best about Princess is that the apparent heroes weren't completely good and the antagonists weren't completely bad. This forced the viewers to decide for themselves who were the "good guys" and who were the "bad guys".

Very true. Anyone who would be disturbed by stories that don't follow "the formula" would likely be confused by Miyazaki's work -- indeed, of anime in general.

With Studio Ghibli on my mind, I re-watched Whisper of the Heart and Kiki's Delivery Service recently. Such sweet films, and I'd actually forgotten how utterly great the latter is.

I also have realized that I've inexplicably never seem The Cat Returns. I'll have to fix that.
