I am interested in improve my skills and been able to get a better job. I have though that a good way could be participate in an open source project or create my own.

Do you know any open source community in which I could participate? Could I create my own community?

Or maybe contribute to the JavaRanch community?

Also I have checked in my experience(5 years), I have learnt a lot of programming but I lack of soft skills and that is important I want develop them.

Any advice?
