Hello Angus
I personally experienced that after a software development career one can jump to related field called database.I was working for more than 2 years in php mysql. Now i am planning to change my career to oracle dba. Kindly reply me back if you agree with me.

Hi Angus,

Although I do not have that much of experience yet but if you may allow me i would like to suggest that you can move into the position of a solution architect or a business analyst where you can use your vast knowledge and experience to further enrich yourself.

regards
