Has anyone discovered any good cheeses recently?

I bought some Stilton on a whim and am now quite a fan. In particular, I like the Neal's Yard Borough Market Stilton. It's a bit less crumbly and has more depth of flavor than a standard Stilton, IMO.

Speaking of cheese sampling... I don't know how I survived without those round pita crackers (like the ones from Trader Joe's) until now. They are the perfect vehicle for getting a stinky cheese from your plate to your face with a minimum of mess.

"Everything you see, I owe to cheese!"

I have Cheddar to account for my jean size.

And speaking of Cheddar, my local grocery store carries some great super-aged Cheddars -- they're almost crystalline in texture. And the deep flavor is incredible.

Here in America there just aren't very many choices -- at least not among those you can find in a spray can.

Sussex Charmer is a really good cheese made not far from here (South of England - I buy it at a local farmers' market). It's like a cheddar with a bit of a parmesan tang to it. Very tasty.

Actually I've been using the Monty Python Cheese Shop sketch as a bit of a checklist for my own consumption of said cheesy comestibles.
