Hey, when I am trying to deploy my war I am getting the below exception :

Unable to access the selected application.
Exception in AppMerge flows' progression
Exception in AppMerge flows' progression
VALIDATION PROBLEMS WERE FOUND problem: cvc-complex-type.2.4a: Expected elements 'description@ weblogic-version@ security-role-assignment@ run-as-role-assignment@ resource-description@ resource-env-description@ ejb-reference-description@ service-reference-description@ message-destination-descriptor@ session-descriptor@ jsp-descriptor@ auth-filter@ container-descriptor@ charset-params@ virtual-directory-mapping@ url-match-map@ security-permission@ context-root@ wl-dispatch-policy@ servlet-descriptor@ work-manager@ component-factory-class-name@ logging@ library-ref@ fast-swap@ coherence-cluster-ref@' instead of 'resource-env-ref@' here in element weblogic-web-app@<null>

I get this error after adding the below statements in weblogic.xml :

I added the below lines in web.xml too :

Before this the application gets deployed without any exceptions.

Yes, that error message is a bit horrendous, but here's the important part of it:

Expected elements ... instead of 'resource-env-ref...

In other words, you inserted that resource-env-ref element in the wrong place. The elements have to be in a particular order (which is defined by the schema, but should be documented). So take it back out, find the documentation which specifies the order of the elements, and put it back in the right place.

Thanks for the reply Paul,
I am working on it. I will post when I found significant improvement.
