C++ DLL using JNI problem

I have a signed java applet, using a dll by means of JNI.

The problem is, when using my new dll, the applet crashes on System.load() (No error, just stops working)
The old dll runs fine...

What could I be doing wrong?

Hi,

Difficult to say perhaps the headers have changed from old to new dll.
Could you try a standalone java main that load the dll? Perhaps is more verbose about the error.

In windows system you could check the Event Views / Security for some error event
or use the sysinternals tool procmon to monitorize unsuccessful operations

Also, check the version of java is in same architecture (32/64 bit) as that of the operating system and the created c++ code/DLLs.
I ahve observed , this causes a problem many a times.
