Which database should I use in java swing?

Hello, I have created my first java swing application which has database also. I am using sql server 2005 as my database and am connecting to it using sql native client. Which datbase should I use to run it on different computers?

I presume you are familiar with JDBC. You can use any database which supports JDBC.

Yes I am familiar with JDBC, and am using JDBC:ODBC bridge. But when I have to run it on different machine what shoul I do?

You should use the DB that best fits your requirements -architectural, operational, financial, pragmatic, etc.- about which we know just about nothing, so we can't make a recommendation.

You can use any DB that exists under the sun, although -as Campbell said- it's easier if the DB supports JDBC. Whether it makes sense depends on the various considerations I mentioned.
