Hello Experts,
I have a requirement,My client wants me to generate report in xml format and the tags should be user defined. But when I am trying to generate the report(with xml preview in ireport 3.0.0) its showing me the output in xml but with jrxml source.
Please suggest me how do I resolve this problem. It will be nice to have some opinion and sample example too.

Thank you.

What exporter class are you using? There is a JRXmlExporter() for XML export...

Not sure if this is correct for defining your tags/elements. Can try calling the exportElements(Collection<JRPrintElement> elements) method then call the exportReport()

By the way the exportElements() method is protected
