I am about to venture in to the EJB certification and i will like to know the best books to start with and the best training labs to use for preparation. I am new to EJB. I will also like to have the point of view of anyone who has already taken the exam. I have a time constraint. Can i be ready to take the exam by the 28 of July? If yes how can you advice me to prepare ?

Hi Jim , even i am preparing for the exam , and even i was kind of confused in the beginning regarding the study material , i have been preparing for like from last month only during weekends and my point is that the spec reference you can get as it is very easy and clear . My plan is to go through the specs and then go through Ivan and Frits notes . But for main reference i will definitely suggest you reading spec .Incase you find any topic difficult in spec then you can refer to the notes of Ivan and Frits , ofcourse not to forget that coderanch is always there for you.
One thing i will like to tell you that the more practice you do , more you will get clear about the topics .

P.S : Also the more curious if you are , while reading any concept like eg why like this , what if kindda questions will help you in future to use your knowledge in practice.

Regards,
Shroff

Cannot answer this question ...As it depends on how much time you spend each day reading and practicing......

Regards,
Shroff.
