It was brought to my attention that Oracle is calling it an expert exam. Should we rename the forum or is there some other factor I should be aware of?

I re-read the email bringing it to my attention more carefully and learned:
OCPJWCD is for JEE5 and OCEJWCD is for JEE 6. (That is really confusing!)

So this forum would be SCWCD/OCPJWCD/OCEJWCD?

Hi Jeanne,

Yes, I agree Oracle's titles are confusing. You can read Oracle's explanation of certification titles which explains a little bit.

I guess they wanted to have different levels in their titles (from beginner to specialist)
1) Associate (OCA)
2) Professional (OCP)
3) Master (OCM)
4) Expert (OCE)
5) Specialist (OCS)

What I don't get is why the EE5 exams (e.g. OCPJWCD) were rated lower than the EE6 exams (e.g. OCEJWCD) , I guess that is merely a marketing strategy...

If you think of renaming this forum you might consider renaming the EJB and Web Services forum as well.
