Where do I suggest for a new "forum" branch.
Like "Ranch Office", I'd like to suggest something to the forum creators. Where do I do that ?

Thanks,

You'd do that right here in this forum.

I'd like to suggest one for "CouchDB".

Thanks,

Can you provide some justification on why couchDB deserves its very own forum?

There are only two hard things in computer science: cache invalidation, naming things, and off-by-one errors

Especially given that this thread is the only one I can find mentioning it at the Ranch.

An alternative might be "Other NoSQL databases". Or even just "Other databases". That way there'd be a natural place for any questions about CouchDB or similar products, and a new forum can always be spun out if there's enough traffic to warrant one.

Um... Is it possible you forgot to click "All Available" in the forum list for your search? I got 43 hits.

Well, CouchDB is as least as popular as some of the other tools that have their own forum now. The number of questions asked about something is no longer a criterion, I think. For example, searching for Neo4j -which has its own forum- finds 56 records.

If Kranti is willing to announce to some CouchDB groups that the new forum exists, I think it sounds fine to create the new forum.
