I get this error when I try to deploy a spring application using
Cannot invoke Tomcat manager: FAIL - Deployed application at context path /DocumentManagerGui but context failed to start
My settings.xml file in maven is :
<server> <id>localhost</id> <username>script</username> <password>script</password> </server>
my tomcat-user xml file is
role rolename="manager-gui"/> <role rolename="manager-script"/> <role rolename="manager-jmx"/> <role rolename="manager-status"/> <role rolename="admin-gui"/> <role rolename="admin-script"/> <user username="script" password="script" roles="manager-gui,manager-script,manager-jmx,manager-status,admin-gui,admin-script"/>
my context file is in src directory META-INF folder. the content is

FAIL - Deployed application at context path /DocumentManagerGui but context failed to start
Apparently, your Maven deployment client did manage to contact the Tomcat manager, but the webapp failed when starting up.
To know why, we'd need to see the log in catalina.out.

Where is this log file located on windows. I can only see the log folder in the home directory of my tomcat installation
